Additional Fixed Fee Plans
Following your Gatekeeping Hearing or First Hearing (FHDRA), additional fixed-fee case plans are available. These will be tailored to the directions made by the Court and the specific needs of your case.
At Court: We sit alongside you in Court, taking notes, specifically noting the Courts directions for the next steps in proceedings, assisting with documents and providing support and advice. As a Litigant in Person you are allowed to speak with us, during the hearing, to discuss the matters being raised and to seek advice on the directions being given by the Court before you agree to aspects of the Order being sought. If the other party is legally represented, their solicitor or barrister cannot act in a way as to disadvantage you during proceedings or as part of the ongoing litigation and we are vigilant to ensuring you are treated fairly and in line with procedural rules. We cannot act as your advocate in Court, but if the Court feels that it would assist it, in order to move proceedings along in an efficient manner, they can speak directly with us.
Special Educational Needs:We have considerable experience of supporting unrepresented litigants who have dyslexia, recognised information processing difficulties and various levels of Autism & Asperger’s.
