The Custody Coach
A lot of people think that if you need to go to Court to formalise who your children live with and how they spend time with each parent, you have to be legally represented by a solicitor.
You do not.
One alternative to legal representation via a solicitor or direct access barrister, is to represent yourself, often termed Litigant in Person / Self Represented Person / Unrepresented Litigant.
This can be a daunting prospect, even for the most capable of people, so when a person decides to represent themselves, they can be assisted in court by what is called a McKenzie Friend. The Custody Coach is a fee charging, professional McKenzie Friend Service. We are not solicitors.
The Custody Coach works directly with parent’s who need to go to Court to formalise who their children live with, and how they will spend time with each parent, after separation and divorce.
Just like a solicitor, work with you from making the initial application to Court, right through to your Final Hearing; assisting with the completion of applications, drafting of statements, preparing for report interviews all the way through to the final hearing, at a fraction of the costs of solicitors.
The Custody Coach offers “fixed fee”, up front plans. This means we manage your case and your budget together. We review and re-quote after each Hearing so there are no unrealistic down payments or unexpected costs.
At every step of the way, we coach you on the Court’s requirements, third party input, the reporting process and terminology, so you are fully informed, involved and equipped as you take on this new, and often overwhelming, journey.
