Published Judgement Reference

In a rather unprecedented move His Lordship, Mr Justice Poole in the High Court Family Division, made reference to me in a published Judgement today, saying:
"At the hearing before me DE was a Litigant in Person but was greatly assisted by his McKenzie Friend, Ms Taylor, including in the preparation of well-drafted written submissions. In accordance with her role, Ms Taylor did not address the Court but I am sure that without her help, the hearing would have taken longer and been more difficult."

This case was complicated, not least for the parties both held multiple nationalities and passports, both made countless allegations of domestic abuse and there were findings in a court in another country. It was a three day hearing and the night before the final day, I worked until 4.00am writing the Father's Written Submissions which went to 19 pages. I had asked permission of the Judge to file written submissions rather than allow the Father to give oral submissions, opposite a very competent Kings Counsel who represented the Mother, because the Father was very emotional and due to the language barriers.
